DaVita made as much as $800 million over-billing Medicare and Medicaid, in just the case of wastage of prescription drugs like Amgen’s Epogen and Venofer, the latter can have serious hypersensitivity reactions. Serious hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylactic-type reactions, some life-threatening and fatal, have been reported in patients receiving Venofer. Why it is prudent not to administer the drug without first having therapies to treat it. In total, according to financial reports, Davita makes about 2/3 of their profits from Medicare and Medicaid billing.
Pat Burns, with the watchdog group “Taxpayers Against Fraud,” says the bigger problem is that even if a company gets caught cheating the government, the company executives never seem to face any punishment. Which is precisely what also happened also in the mortgage securitization fraud of 2008. Fines were paid and the fraud continued unabated. We once again now have the biggest bubble in financial history. Way beyond what normal valuations would support given earnings. And so like the financial system, good ol’ Kent Thiry and gang also hope to accomplish for the health care system what has taken place under our Goldman Sachs financial system.
Needless to say, both will ultimately fail.
“It doesn’t take a graduate degree to understand what’s going on here,” attorney Marian Wilbanks said. “This is just dishonesty.” Glen Chan an independent financial analyst says Mr. Thiry is ethically challenged. I prefer being to the point: THE GUY IS A CROOK. And like all dead beat capitalist outfits capitalizes on the exploitation of its workers, who are unorganized and therefore powerless. But perhaps that will change in the future thanks to people like Emerson Padua (pictured below) who sought to organize Davita workers in Moreno Valley California in May of 2017, and subsequently fired by Davita which says its employees are a “village”. I guess that means a village of peasant serfs to the almighty Oz in Denver Colorado.
As a patient myself, I support this unionization effort.
Earlier that same year, as the wastage law suit and before its final judgment, DaVita was forced to settle a similar case in Texas for $55 million. I did not include this amount in my final total of about $1.1 billion for Medicare and Medicaid fraud by Davita. Now Donald J. Trump has said repeatedly he would make the rule of law paramount during his campaign. But now that he is in office the swamp critters are not being drained, but actually multiplying. Just as the Republicans said falsely that they would repeal and replace Obamacare, they are really not even averse to Medicare and Medicaid fraud—because both parties are ultimately globalists aligned against the interests of the American people.
Indeed, have we seen any indication that Jeff Session, now that Republicans hold the reins of power, will crack down on Davita and Kent Thiry for what was once seen as the ultimate Republican trespass: MEDICARE FRAUD? Unfortunately for Americans, the Republicans hate working people even more than they do Medicare socialism. As we can see from Obamacare, Republicans actually approve of socialism as opposed to organized workers. This appears to have been the trade-off between Democrats and Republicans, that the latter would support socialist healthcare, as long as workers could not organize. Consequently, the Democrats, basically really in the pockets of fascist big business, would kill the Employee Free Choice Act (2009)* in return for Republican tacit support of Obamacare. Which, because the Democrats had the necessary votes, the GOP could feign opposition to Obamacare, while secretly supporting the measure which was only now revealed when Trump attempted to repeal and replace the dang (un)Affordable Care Act. Repeal dissenters Collins, Murkoswski, McCain, et. al. are in truth nothing but Democrats in drag, i.e., globalists. As they say: The Obamacare hotdog tastes delicious, but you don’t want to know how it’s made.
*note: The Employee Free Choice Act would have made it easier for workers to organize and defend their rights. This is the number one cardinal sin for Big Business. That is because the whole point of globalism is to drive down the wages of all Americans. For example, yesterday’s braceros are today’s cannulators in dialysis center factories.
