Are we seeing a similar pattern for our food supply? For the past several months world leaders have been warning the public to prepare for food shortages. Yes they are seemingly prescient, like when Anthony Fauci predicted the presidency of Donald J. Trump would experience a pandemic which hadn’t taken place since the Spanish Flu of 1918. Or goofballs like Bill Gates predicting a hemorrhagic fever pandemic, like that produced by the Marburg virus. On March 16, 2022, a massive fire broke out at a Walmart distribution center in Indiana. On February 22, 2022, an explosion engulfs Shearer’s Foods in Hermiston, Oregon, injuring 7, and according to the news, the fire will impact locals and the food supply chain. On March 17, 2022, fire shuts down Hot Pockets plant in Jonesboro, Arkansas. On February 3, 2022, Wisconsin River Meats says portion of Mauston plant a total loss after fire. On February 15, 2022, onlookers watch fire crews battle blaze at Bonanza Meat Company. On April 22, 2022, the headquarters of Azure Standard, the nation’s premier independent distributor of organic and healthy food, was destroyed by fire overnight. On March 28, 2022, an early morning fire broke out in south Taiwan at the Kuwang Food Industry warehouse in Chiayi County. The cause of the fire in unknown.
